Trevor Ariza’s marriage to Bree Anderson has completely fallen apart, with his wife filing for divorce in 2022, four years into their marriage.

The two are now battling it out on the court, with the unemployed Anderson demanding monthly child and spousal support. In documents obtained by RadarOnline, she claims her monthly expenses are at $55k and that she relies on him to pay bills.

“She said she pays $18k on a mortgage, $2,500 on healthcare, $3k on childcare costs, $5k on groceries, $4k on eating out, $3,500 on clothes, $5k on entertainment, and $5k on her household staff.”

Ariza rejected her demands and wants to cut her off from spousal support altogether. He went on to add that he is no longer employed by a team at the moment after being waived by the Los Angeles Lakers last year.

“After an 18-year career in the NBA, I am no longer employed as a professional basketball player. The last team I played for was the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2021-2022 NBA season. I no longer earn any wages or endorsement income,”

Ariza listed his financials as $438,278 in cash, $1.9 million in stocks and bonds, and $6 million in real and personal property. His own monthly expenses amount to $109k per month as per RadarOnline, with him also paying $13k in child support to other women.

“His monthly expenses include $13k on rent, $1,400 on maintenance, $8,900 on childcare, $1,500 on groceries, $3k on eating out, $550 on utilities, $3,500 for clothes, $12k on entertainment and gifts, $1,600 on auto expenses, and $22k on monthly installment plans.”

This is a really messy situation, with both parties claiming that the other resorted to violence during their marriage. They had filed restraining orders against each other and are set to have another court hearing later this month.

Trevor Ariza’s NBA Career

Ariza’s NBA career seems all but finished at this point, as there doesn’t seem to be any interest around the league for the 37-year-old. If this is indeed the end, he can be proud of all that he achieved on the court.

He played for a total of 10 teams in his 18 seasons, with notable spells with the Houston Rockets and the Lakers. Ariza averaged 10.4 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 2.1 APG, and 1.5 SPG in his career, winning a title in 2009 as a teammate of Kobe Bryant. His good play throughout the years helped him earn $116.9 million in his career, as per Spotrac. It is a shame that life off the court has gone this route for Ariza and it remains to be seen how this court case will pan out.
