Tyler Herro Takes Shot At The Boston Celtics: ‘I Got Blessed To Be Drafted By Miami Heat Not The Boston Celtics’

2 Min Read

Tyler Herro has taken a big shot at the Boston Celtics while talking about getting drafted by the Miami Heat. The 20-year-old just finished his rookie season with the Heat, playing in the NBA Finals, having a key role in Erik Spoelstra’s team in the Orlando bubble. Herro broke records, showed he can be the future of the Heat and more things during their magical run to the Finals.

He faced the Boston Celtics on the way to the Finals, beating them in six games to advance to the big series. Herro could have been playing for the Celtics in that series, but he’s grateful that wasn’t the case. He’s not a fan of the C’s, apparently, and made it clear during a recent Instagram live session. He thought he was going to get drafted by the Celtics and is happy that things were a different way.

“I got blessed to come here instead of there,” he stated.

He was selected 13th overall in last year’s NBA draft and became a big figure in the Heat. In a draft full of good players like Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, and RJ Barrett, Herro demonstrated that he has the talent to be great in the NBA. He’s only 20 and the future is bright for this kid. The Heat got a gem in Herro and the Celtics picked Romeo Langford, just one pick after Herro was selected.
