Tyronn Lue Narrates Shocking Story About Shaquille O’Neal Bullying Devean George: “He Sh*ts In His Shoe”

2 Min Read

Tyronn Lue may be a championship-winning coach, but he was also a multi-time champion as a player for the Los Angeles Lakers dynasty in the early 2000s where he played alongside Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.

Coach Lue made a recent appearance on the ‘Knuckleheads’ podcast where he discussed things like his time with the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers and many other things. However, another thing that Lue revealed was this infamous prank Shaquille O’Neal pulled on rookie Devean George.

“One day, Devean George, he was supposed to grab donuts or whatever. I don’t know, but he didn’t do it. So Shaq’s like, ‘Alright, I’m gonna get you’. So we’re getting ready for a game and Devean, I think worked out on the court, came back and was getting taped or whatever. Shaq goes in the bathroom, takes his shoe in there and he sh*ts in his shoe. Takes his shoe, comes back. So, Devean George comes back, gets ready for the game and puts his shoe on. It was gross and totally unhygienic, but Shaq didn’t care. Some of his pranks are known to be especially crude.”

This story is absolutely wild, but not very surprising considering how Shaq was back in the days. Those Lakers also had strong chemistry with each other, and maybe being the butts of Shaq’s pranks was a way they all came together. After all, Shaq was still the best player on the team ahead of Kobe Bryant at the time.

Devean George won three championships in his first three seasons in the league because he was drafted by the Lakers. He was a great backup behind the likes of Rick Fox and performed his duties on the court well enough. However, if you forget your duties off the court, you may find an unpleasant gift from Shaq waiting in your shoe.
