Ja Morant is an extremely friendly basketball player. He has had hilarious interactions with fans, including once when he dapped up a stranger that approached him on the court. An NBA player can bring a lot of joy into the lives of the children that idolize them. That is exactly what they do through the offseason when they have more time to interact with fans in basketball camps or events.
Ja Morant was part of a basketball camp where he came in and showed off his moves. Morant is known league-wide for doing the dance step called ‘the griddy’ on the court. It is one of his most-used celebrations and has now become associated with him.
While at the camp, Morant did the griddy with all the students that had attended that day. There was a lot of excitement in the kids to be a part of something like this with an NBA All-Star and one of the brightest young talents in the league.

Ja Morant is setting the league on fire with his emergence over the last season. Everyone knew that the 2nd overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft was going to be a quality player, but his rise to becoming a leader on one of the best teams in the Western Conference has cemented his status.
The Grizzlies have built an extremely strong roster around Ja and have a ton of cap space to make moves to add better players to the roster in the future.
The culture of the Grizzlies locker room is hard-nosed and Morant has been credited for bringing grit and grind back to the city. The franchise has never even made it to an NBA Finals, so everyone will be hoping that Morant can achieve this historic landmark for the team and possibly even lead them to an NBA title.
