Video: John Wall Yells “I’m Back” While Dominating Rico Hines Basketball Run

2 Min Read

John Wall has had an incredibly difficult few years in his life. While everyone has been struggling with the adjustment of living in a world ravaged by a pandemic, Wall had plenty of fires he had to put out himself. Not only had he missed the prime seasons of his career due to an Achilles injury, but he also saw his mother lose a battle to cancer, with his grandmother also passing away after that.

These experiences affected Wall’s mental state, with the guard openly talking about having suicidal thoughts recently. This was a dark revelation from a much-celebrated NBA player who was on one of the largest contract in league history up until the Houston Rockets bought out his contract this season to let him go to the LA Clippers.

With the Clippers, Wall will be playing alongside his friend Paul George. The pair are already building their chemistry up this offseason, spotted playing in the Rico Hines run in LA and dominating the proceedings.

The Clippers are facing what could be a do-or-die season for the team. They have teetered on contention before but failed to win a series after having a 3-1 lead in 2020 and then have been without their best player, Kawhi Leonard, for the past 2 postseasons.

The injuries on the Clipper shave stopped them before, but the roster is built with many interchangeable wings. With Wall, this is the first time the Clippers have had a playmaking point guard running the floor, with Patrick Beverley and Reggie Jackson playing point guard in previous seasons.

Some people are already touting the Clippers as favorites for the 2022-23 season based on their deep roster and amazing coaching by Tyronn Lue. Wall will look to return to racking post-season wins up after barely playing in the last few seasons. A lot of motivation for the Clippers to win a title while the Lakers struggle to even make the playoffs.
