Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the best big men in the league today. He is well-known for his shooting ability from beyond the arc, but he can also be physical in the post and dominate on the interior at times.
One of those times happened during the game recent between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves. A clip shared by Twitter user @kingtisemedia shared a video that featured Karl-Anthony Towns moving LeBron James out of his way when trying to score in the post, and subsequently flexing and calling James a profane term while walking away.
KAT moving LeBron out the way, flexing, then calling Bron a “b*tch a*s n*gga” is insane man lol. pic.twitter.com/oloM38iYDH

Sometimes, we see players trash talk one another during games, and this seems to be what happened here. This wasn’t the only instance of trash talk/disrespect from the Minnesota Timberwolves roster towards the Los Angeles Lakers. We saw Karl-Anthony Towns and Patrick Beverley ruthlessly mock Russell Westbrook for air balling a corner 3PT shot during the same game. Despite the disrespectful nature of the taunt, Russell Westbrook claimed that he didn’t care about the trash talk, as nobody on the Minnesota Timberwolves has “done anything” to make him care about their heckling.
Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves ended up winning the game 124-104, so it’s clear that they got the last laugh. There is no question that the Minnesota Timberwolves are a rising young team with a bright future, as they have a solid core three of Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and D’Angelo Russell.
It remains to be seen how the rest of the season will shake out for the Timberwolves. They are currently the 7th seed but have a chance to make the 6th seed and avoid the play-in tournament if things go right for them. Hopefully, we see the Minnesota Timberwolves make it back to the playoffs, and there’s no doubt they will provide a challenge for any contender due to their youth and athleticism.
