Trae Young is well-known as a top-tier offensive player in this league. He is an amazing scorer and playmaker, and he’s a one-man offensive powerhouse. Currently, Trae Young is averaging some ridiculous numbers for the Atlanta Hawks: 28.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 9.5 APG.
One of the things that stands out about Trae Young aside from his basketball ability is his confidence in himself, and Trae Young won’t back down from anybody. During the 2021 playoffs, Trae Young notably went back and forth with Knicks fans, even claiming that all fans can do is “talk” as they can’t guard him.
“I’ve always looked at it is I’m doing something right,” Young said on his postgame Zoom. “If I’m offending them with my play that they hate me that much, I’m obviously doing something right.
“I just got to let my play do the talking. At the end of the day, fans can only talk. They can’t guard me. They’re not out there playing.”
The Atlanta Hawks recently beat the New York Knicks, and Trae Young made sure to troll Knicks fans when speaking to the media after the game. But even during the game, it seems as though he was going at it with some Knicks fans.
Bleacher Report has recently shared a video of Trae Young telling a fan who was heckling him to “hold that L” after the Knicks had no chance of coming back. There’s no doubt that Trae Young played a huge part in the Hawks win, as he put up 45 points and 8 assists on the evening.
Trae told this heckler to "hold that L” 😂💀

While it seems as though that won’t happen this season, another series featuring Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks against the New York Knicks would be amazing to watch.
The Atlanta Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference, and they could still potentially make the playoffs via that route. It remains to be seen if they are able to do so, but a team with Trae Young shouldn’t be counted out.
