With a 26-24 record, the Golden State Warriors are somehow 5th in the West and within just 2.5 games back from the 3rd-seeded Kings.

Thanks to contributions from Steph Curry, Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson, and others, the Dubs have managed to stay alive despite some major struggles throughout the season.

As the NBA trade deadline nears, the Warriors aren’t expected to make a ton of moves and it seems to be the trend in this year’s trade market.

According to Warriors GM Bob Myers, a lot of teams across the NBA are having trouble deciding what to do with their roster.

“I’ve talked to a lot of GM’s and I ask what they’re trying to do. They’re like, “I don’t even know what to do. I think we’re good enough, but we’re .500.’ That’s unique…This year is different because there are less sellers.”

“…I think the league thought more teams would clearly be out on the playoffs at this time. That’s not the case… There aren’t a lot of teams making the decision that the season is lost. If 22 of the 30 teams in the league are all wanting to get better, it doesn’t make for a lot of trading partners.”

With Curry still in his prime, the Warriors must be in full win-now mode. But with how the season has been going, it’s not going to be easy figuring out which moves to make this season.

Next Few Games Could Determine The Future For Golden State

With a little over a week to go before the trade deadline, the Warriors are going to be closely monitoring how the team plays their next few games. If they look like a squad ready to make a run, we might not see the Warriors do much at all.

Already, the Warriors have done enough to indicate they’re trending upward. Though one trade remains a possibility, according to league sources, two deals now seem less likely.

Only time will tell us how this all plays out in Golden State, but it’s never a good idea to count out the Warriors, not with the stars they have.,

Bob Myers has his work cut out for him over the next week, as he attempts to figure out which route is the best to take for success now and in the future.
