Washington Wizards’ Twitter Account Sends Message To Doubters: “And Y’all Said Russ Was Washed.”

2 Min Read

Russell Westbrook is finding his touch in the league this season and the Washington Wizards are taking the most advantage of that. The talented point guard is once again averaging a triple-double with 21.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 10.5 assists this campaign.

The Wizards have won their last two games with Brodie having big performances, leading his squad to the 12th position in the Eastern Conference. They are just two games away from making the play-in tournament and as long as they have Russ playing this way, they will have a chance to compete.

People in D.C. are excited to see the 2017 NBA MVP recovering his best form and the Wizards’ Twitter account sent a big message to the doubters, stating that Russ isn’t washed and he’s ready to keep playing at the highest level.

Washington isn’t a candidate to win the NBA title this year but this man is demonstrating he still got it when most people gave up on him. The past couple of seasons haven’t been good for Brodie but he’s always trying to give his best and the last few games are the prime example of that.

Finishing the game with 35 points, 14 rebounds, and 21 assists, he joined Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson as the only players in NBA history with a 30/10/20 game. Moreover, he became the triple-double leader in the team’s history and it only took him 38 games.

The 32-year-old doesn’t have the same spotlight he had before but he’s doing things right and if he keeps this level, this team could be a headache for the rest of the conference. Don’t sleep on Brodie; when he’s looking for blood, he’s dangerous.
