A lot of NBA players play video games in their spare time, and there’s no doubt that it is a great hobby that can help somebody deal with stress and have something fun to do when not hooping.

Recently, a group of Overwatch streamers encountered Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic during a match in the game. They asked the superstar if he had any hobbies, to which he jokingly responded that he plays basketball for the Dallas Mavericks.

There is no doubt that this is hilarious, as these streamers clearly didn’t recognize Luka Doncic from his voice. Even though he is one of the most popular basketball players in the league, it is clear that some people are still unaware of who he is.

As of right now, Luka Doncic is averaging 33.4 PPG, 8.7 RPG, and 8.1 APG for the Dallas Mavericks. On the court, he is elite and an MVP candidate. It is unclear if his Overwatch skills are as good as his basketball ones.

Luka Doncic Pushed The Dallas Mavericks To Acquire Kyrie Irving

The Dallas Mavericks were definitely a solid defensive team before the trade deadline, but it is clear that they put too much offensive burden on Luka Doncic’s shoulders before they acquired Kyrie Irving. A previous report suggested that Luka Doncic actually pushed the Dallas Mavericks to acquire Kyrie Irving, as he was “frustrated” that the team was at .500 with him “playing better than ever”.

“[Luka] had grown frustrated the Mavs were floating around .500 despite him playing better than ever. Team and league sources said he privately had been pushing the front office to find a way to acquire the co-star required for the Mavs to have any chance to contend for a championship.”

It is easy to see why Luka Doncic was frustrated, and adding Kyrie Irving definitely gives the Dallas Mavericks a better chance of winning the NBA championship. Doncic and Irving are arguably the best backcourt in the league, and it’ll be interesting to see how well the duo ends up doing in the playoffs.

The Dallas Mavericks may not be the championship favorite this year, but they are definitely a dangerous team that could end up being a tough matchup for any opposing team. Hopefully, they end up getting far, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they ended up coming out of the Western Conference.
