There’s no question who is the best three-point shooter in the NBA today. It’s Stephen Curry, and he’s also the greatest three-point shooter in the history of the NBA.

The idea of another basketball player out-shooting Curry seems to be farfetched. But Curry has been outshined on the court in the three-point department. In fact, he’s been beaten in a three-point contest.

In this article, we’re not speaking of another NBA player defeating Curry in a three-point contest. Instead, we’re talking about a 10-year-old girl named Jaden Newman.

Jaden Newman Out-Shoots Stephen Curry In Three-Point Contest

Stephen Curry participated in the 2015 Three-Point Contest, where he scored 27 in the final round to defeat Kyrie Irving and teammate Klay Thompson. Curry was red hot, putting on a show for all fans to enjoy.

To prepare himself for the three-point contest, Curry took on five challengers in mock three-point contests, which were part of a Foot Locker ad. Curry went up against his father, Dell Curry, Tim Legler, Robert Horry, and Kenny Mayne of ESPN.

To no surprise, Curry won all four matchups. The thing is, there were five challengers, not four. Who was the fourth competitor?

Curry’s final challenger was 10-year-old basketball phenom Jaden Newman. 10-year-old Jaden Newman would later average 41.4 points per game once she was in high school.

Despite her great play, she was always in the shadow of her brother, Julian Newman. Julian was a high school basketball star in his own right.

Jaden would finally get her moment to stand in the spotlight when she became the fifth shooter to take on Stephen Curry in his mock three-point contest. For Curry, he must’ve believed he would get an easy win, but this wouldn’t happen.

The two took turns shooting their three-point shots. Jaden certainly impressed both Kenny Mayne and Stephen Curry as they watched her work.

By the end of their shootout, Curry finished with 15, while Jaden ended with 16. Yes, Stephen Curry, the greatest shooter the world has ever seen, lost to a 10-year-old girl.

Now, some might say Curry tanked on purpose to let the 10-year-old beat him. But after watching the film, it appears that Jaden Newman straight-up outshot Chef Curry.

What do you think? Did Curry lose on purpose? Or did 10-year-old Jaden Newman out-shoot the reigning Finals MVP?
