When Draymond Green Criticizes Klay Thompson’s Shots Selection, He Responds: “They F*****g Pay Me To Shot”

2 Min Read

Everybody has their role. There are shooters, veterans, defenders, rebounders, and many more different types. For the Golden State Warriors, it’s easy to guess what role Klay Thompson has. As one of the best shooters in the game, he’s got the ultimate green light to pull it when he wants, even if (sometimes) it may not seem like a very smart shot.

In fact, Draymond Green often gives Klay some slack during those questionable shot attempts, to which the star guard simply reminds his teammate of what the Dubs are paying him for.

Klay knows his role, and he does it well. He’s a 41.9% shooter from beyond the arc and has made over 1,700 threes over the course of his career. He once made 11 threes in a must-win Game 6 and famously dropped 37 points in a single quarter.

He’s one of the beat there is, but he’s got a long road to recovery ahead of him. After tearing his ACL in the Finals this past summer, Thompson has yet to play during the 2019-20 campaign, and the Warriors missed him tremendously (they finished dead last in the West).

But upon his highly anticipated return next season, we can expect him to resume his usual antics.
