2020 NBA Draft: Golden State Warriors Discussing Trading No. 2 Pick To Chicago For No. 4 And Wendell Carter Jr.

2 Min Read

The Golden State Warriors are reportedly discussing a trade ahead of the 2020 NBA draft. The Warriors have the No. 2 overall pick this season and according to recent reports, they could trade it to the Chicago Bulls before the draft. According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Warriors would send their No. 2 pick to Chicago in exchange for the No. 4 pick and Wendell Carter Jr.

League sources say the Warriors are weighing whether to accept a trade offered by the Bulls that would send Chicago their no. 2 overall pick for Wendell Carter Jr. and the fourth pick. If the Bulls trade up, sources believe they’ll select Wiseman. If the Warriors drop, it’s unclear who their target is, but I’ve reported in the past that they’re high on a number of wings in the draft.

Golden State was involved in several rumors about that No. 2 pick and James Wiseman; nobody was sure about their pick in this draft or even if they were going to keep their selection or trade it away. Well, now the picture could be clear for us and the Dubs, who would get the No. 4 pick in the draft, still a high number, and Carter Jr.

The NBA draft is a couple of hours away and we could see several big moves during the day and at the time of the draft. The NBA offseason is finally here and given the short times that teams have to make their moves, we can see a lot of them on draft night. The Warriors aren’t the only ones trying to make moves before the big night but they’re getting a good deal with the Bulls if this trade goes through.
