Isiah Thomas On Michael Jordan: “Until I Watched The Last Dance, I Didn’t Realize He Felt That Way About Me.”

2 Min Read

As fierce rivals at the height of their careers, Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan were never regarded as allies.

But not even Thomas knew just how much animosity existed between them. After Jordan ripped IT in the renowned “The Last Dance” documentary, the true feelings were revealed.

“I know it’s all bull—-,” Jordan said in the fourth episode. “Whatever he says now, you know it wasn’t his true actions then. He has time left to think about it, or the reaction from the public has changed his perspective.”

“You can show me anything you want,” Jordan said.”There’s no way you can convince me he wasn’t a (jerk).”

Obviously, this caused quite a stir at the time, as it’s clear it was a rivalry that became a little personal for the people involved.

But, according to Thomas, he had no idea the Bulls legend harbored those feelings about him.

The Bulls and Pistons engaged in many battles over the years, and it’s no secret that Thomas and his team often resorted to bitter tactics to try and defeat their opponents.

For Jordan, they had a specific set of rules that they tried to use to stop him — that included an extremely physical playstyle.

Clearly, MJ wasn’t a fan.
