4 NBA Stars That Should Be Traded (But Won’t)

Being a superstar in this league isn’t as easy as it may seem, as even though fans are going to love you and you’re going to get paid a lot of money, you need to handle a lot of heat when things don’t go your team’s way despite your biggest efforts.

  • 4. Hassan Whiteside
  • 3. Bradley Beal
  • 2. Damian Lillard
  • 1. Kyrie Irving

Stars need to prove that they can take their teams through bad stretches and lead them to playoff success, and when they constantly strike out on that goal, their legacy tends to be questioned.

Even though, teams are often reluctant to trade their stars, even though moving them while they still have a lot of value may seem like the wisest choice. Today, we’re going to let you know about 4 stars that should be traded, but won’t.

4. Hassan Whiteside

Hassan Whiteside doesn’t want to be a member of the Miami Heat anymore and obviously Coach Erik Spoelstra didn’t trust him in the clutch and liked Bam Adebayo way more, but still, the Heat is unlikely to deal Whiteside any time soon.

Whiteside is more of a stat padder rather than a true rim protector and is such a self-center player that no team would want to take in his locker room. Also, with everybody knowing that he wants out, nobody’s going to be willing to give up many assets to land him.

3. Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal has always been a stud. Ever since entering the league, he’s improved as a driver, a passer and even in the defensive end of the floor, but it seems like he’s never going to achieve his true potential playing under John Wall’s shadow.

Also, there have been a lot of rumors stating that Beal and Wall don’t get along at all, and even though that backcourt is great, the lack of chemistry has been obvious come playoff time, but the Wizards refuse to break them up.

2. Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard has been involved in several trade rumors ever since the Portland Trail Blazers got swept by the Pelicans in the 1st round of the playoffs, mostly because the team’s iso-ball was pretty much a disaster.

The Blazers should choose between Lillard and McCollum and truth to be told, they could have way more value in return for Dame. Nonetheless, he’s been quite vocal on his desire to stay with the franchise until he retires, and the team is unlikely to let him go either.

1. Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving

The Boston Celtics needed a star in the playoffs. We get it, that was obvious. And, Kyrie could’ve been the difference between making it to the Finals and beating the Dubs and falling in 7 games against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Even though Boston is going to have Gordon Hayward back next season and with Kyrie unwilling to commit for the long term with the franchise, they should explore the market for the top-tier point guard, although Danny Ainge would rather see him walk away for free.
