Anthony Davis is struggling to find his touch during the 2021/22 NBA season, looking like a different player than the one who played in New Orleans for seven years and even the key piece that helped the Lakers win the 2020 NBA championship.
He has made it clear he won’t stop doing the things he normally does, even if that’s not helping his team win. AD is confident he can turn things around and recover his best form, but so far, things haven’t gone in his favor.
Recently, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley blamed AD for the Lakers’ struggles this season, urging him to step up and become the dominant player he used to be. Now, fans have charged against the player, too, criticizing him on social media.
His recent performances have granted Davis plenty of criticism around the league, with fans wondering what happened to the player he was during that impressive run in the 2019/20 NBA season. Well, everybody is waiting for that player to return, calling AD out on social media for his recent poor games.
What I’m gathering is that people are not overly happy with Anthony Davis as of late.

Watching Anthony Davis play basketball this season has given me a greater sense of appreciation for Giannis.
I won’t compare the 2 ever again.

Davis is still young at 28, but his level has decreased since winning the championship in the infamous Orlando bubble. Some can argue injuries have bothered him in the past two seasons, but now he’s healthy and ready to go.
Fans are even asking where the old version of the big man went, as he’s looking nothing like the player the Lakers traded for two years ago.
Anthony Davis is 28 but he plays like he’s 34 with all due respect

He’s not shying away from a challenge and has vowed to keep shooting threes, but his dominance hasn’t been there as of lately. The Brow must make significant changes to return to his best version and win the Lakers’ fans back.
After a 108-95 defeat against the Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies, the Lakers are under more pressure to finally figure things out. AD is now the subject of criticism, not Russell Westbrook, and he must do something to change the narrative and help his team become the legit contenders they are supposed to be.
