Russell Westbrook will release a documentary on his life ahead of the 2021/22 NBA season. The Los Angeles Lakers point guard will enter a season with a lot of pressure for him and his new team, but the squad is ready for the challenge.

Meanwhile, the 2017 NBA MVP is focused on various side projects, including this documentary that will feature his beginnings in basketball, how he became an NBA superstar, and the past couple of seasons in the league.

Brodie is one of the most athletic players in NBA history, showing all his quality over a decade with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards. Now that he’s part of the Lakers, he’s embracing that Hollywood life, making a documentary that will present never-before-seen images of Russ’ life.

“I’m proud to share this documentary and give audiences an inside look into who I really am on and off the court,” Westbrook said in a statement, via Los Angeles Times. “There are a lot of misconceptions about me but I’m ready to share my story and my journey with my fans.”

The documentary, titled “Passion Play: Russell Westbrook,” will air at 6 p.m. Oct. 15 on Showtime.

Four days before the start of the new NBA season, Brodie is ready to give fans a different perspective on his career, life, and personality. He’s become a controversial player in the past couple of seasons, polarizing fans around the league.

Hopefully, this documentary can vanish the bad image Russ might have with some fans.

Westbrook and the Lakers are ready to take over this upcoming season and win it all in a Western Conference that will present many challenges for the purple and gold. Frank Vogel made it clear that Brodie is on a mission, and he won’t stop until he accomplishes it.
