NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers And Los Angeles Clippers Are Interested In LaMarcus Aldridge And Andre Drummond

City rivals Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers had a quiet trade deadline, only making one move combined, which was Rajon Rondo making it to the Clippers from the Atlanta Hawks. Some could say that was it for these two squads but now a new market began for them, and they will try to land a couple of interesting pieces to face the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs.

Andre Drummond and LaMarcus Aldridge are two players that gained a lot of attention as soon as their teams announced they were looking to part with them. They couldn’t get trade partners and now they’ve entered the buyout market, where a series of teams are hoping to acquire their services to boost their level and their chances to compete for the NBA title in July.

That’s when the Lakers and Clippers show up, as rumors suggest these two are looking to lure Drummond and Aldridge in the next couple of days, but they’re not alone in their quest for these two big men. According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, the two Angelenos teams are mentioned as candidates to sign both players, with other franchises joining them in these races.

Yahoo Sources: Andre Drummond will listen to pitches from the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets.

Drummond and Aldridge have gotten a lot of attention recently and it’s not a surprise that so many teams are trying to lure them. The next couple of days will be important for the players and the teams; they can make a big move ahead of the playoffs and improve their case to win the Western Conference. The Lakers apparently have more options if neither Drummond or Aldridge decide they want to take a different route, but their main focus are them right now.

Lakers and Clippers have been involved in more than one battle over the last two seasons and this seems to be another one. It’ll be interesting to see who is going to win this one or if these two talented players are going to pick different franchises to continue their respective careers.
