The Brooklyn Nets have big expectations for the next NBA season. They’ll have two fully recovered stars in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as well as a new coach in Steve Nash. Their fans expect to see a lot of good things from this team and see if they can really contend in the East with their two stars playing together.

Some of the questions this team needs to answer involve their dynamic duo, Durant and Irving. NBA fans wonder how they will fare together and how Nash will use them to bring success to Brooklyn next campaign. During a recent appearance on JJ Redick’s podcast ‘The Old Man and the Three’, Nash revealed how he plans to use KD and Irving on offense, simply stating they are two unguardable players that can get the job done.

Via Essentially Sports:

Redick: “Have you thought at all about just that combination, Kyrie and Kevin and how you can sort of use them together in two-man games specifically?”.

Nash: “Sure. That’s probably the easiest part of the job. Throw Kevin and Ky in a two-man game like that’s just what it is. They’re two exceptionally difficult players to defend.”

Nash elaborated on how skilled they are and the ease they have to play with different schemes.

“Ky can score on you know as well as anyone in an iso and Kevin with his length is a matchup problem for everyone,” said Nash. “You know those two in two-man games is incredible but you know also the versatility. Ky’s excellent off the ball as brilliant as he is with a ball in his hand. Kevin can play all five positions and I plan to use him in all five positions.”

Despite being a rookie coach, the expectations for Nash and his team are huge. They have two of the best players in the league and Steve was one of the smartest players to ever play the game. Everybody wants to watch this team and see what they can do in what will be one of the most competitive NBA seasons in recent years.
