Even though Sabrina Ionescu lost to Stephen Curry in their three-point contest during All-Star weekend, she showed the world just how special she is on the court. Now, Ionescu is garnering a fair bit of attention for her off-the-court game as well.

Ionescu certainly knows how to dress for the occasion. The 26-year-old oozes elegance both on and off the court, and she has earned a whole lot more fans over the last few days.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding her contest with Curry, and the two didn’t disappoint. After setting the NBA and WNBA record for most points in a single round in a three-point contest with 37 last year, Ionescu looked like she might be on her way to another historic performance on the big stage.
The New York Liberty star hit her first seven shots of the contest but cooled down after that. Only five makes in her last 10 attempts left her with a score of 26. It was a very respectable one, but you need more than that to beat Curry, as the Golden State Warriors guard won the contest with a score of 29.
Still, her score of 26 was tied for the second-highest of the night, with Damian Lillard winning the Three-Point Contest with that exact score. It showed, once and for all, that Ionescu belongs among the very best shooters in the game today.
Sabrina Ionescu Is Engaged To An NFL Player
As for Ionescu’s personal life, she is engaged to Hroniss Grasu, who played for the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders last season. They are both of Romanian descent and went to the University of Oregon. The 32-year-old Grasu headed to the NFL in 2015, and Ionescu went to Oregon in 2016, so they weren’t there at the same time.
They only happened to meet as Oregon alumni and became lovebirds. The couple made their relationship public in 2021, and then in January 2023, they got engaged after Grasu proposed.
Ionescu revealed back in August that they will be getting married in a couple of months, but the wedding hasn’t taken place yet. The 2024 WNBA season commences in May, so I would assume they would get married before that.
