Bradley Beal Wants To Return To All-Star Form In Debut Season With The Suns

• Bradley Beal was traded to the Phoenix Suns for Chris Paul in June 2023

• The 30-year-old guard is hoping to have some playoff success in the league after over half a decade

• Beal wants to establish himself as an All-Star and All-NBA player once again

Bradley Beal will hope to play winning basketball for the first time in years after being traded to the Phoenix Suns earlier in the offseason to form a big three with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

Beal knows what he needs to do on the court to have success with the Suns, emphasizing wanting to become a two-way terror in an interview with SLAM Magazine.

“I haven’t really thought about my own goals yet, but I would say the biggest individual piece is getting back to being one of the best two-way players in the League. Showing that I can really compete at a high level and play a meaningful game. You know, playing in the playoffs, winning in the playoffs, advancing past rounds.”

Beal also said he wants to return to being an All-Star.

“Granted, I wanna get back to my All-Star level of play. I really believe that that’s who I am: All-NBA guy, All-Star guy. And I have a good group that can push me to be that every single day. So I’m excited about that opportunity. I get to be around like-minded guys and guys who will push me to make sure that I’m the best version of myself every day.”

Beal didn’t look like an All-Star in his final season with the Wizards, averaging 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists last season. Hopefully, he is motivated to compete in Phoenix and doesn’t see his offensive talents lost in the shuffle around Durant and Booker.

Are The Suns Title Favorites?

Many people think the Suns could be the best team in the West. They took two wins off the reigning champions relying purely on KD and Booker to get buckets. The pair did that and stole two wins even though the series was always going to be out of their reach. Adding Beal and all the pieces they did in free agency gives them perimeter versatility that they’ll hope to exploit.

Frank Vogel is going to whip this team into a solid defensive shape the second he enters training camp. The offense will be taken care of by the two former scoring champions in Beal and Durant, while Booker will also stack buckets as he has done his entire career so far. Beal is expected to be the starting point guard for Phoenix.
