In terms of accolades and all-time rankings, James remains comfortably ahead of Curry, outranking the point guard in almost every category except scoring. With LBJ’s Lakers eliminating Curry’s Warriors as a lower seed in the 2023 playoffs, James seems to be adding some notches back to his name after Curry’s two years of dominance in 2017 and 2018 alongside Kevin Durant.
James has achieved a lot in his career and will rarely be considered anything less than the third-greatest player of all time. But to overtake Jordan as the GOAT is no easy feat, no matter how many longevity records James claims.
