“Honestly, that was one of the best dinners of my life,” Wembanyama said. “And not because of the food. The food was good. But the people was crazy.”
He praised the three legends for their willingness to guide him and offer him advice on the team, and the league.
“In probably a couple of hours, I learned more about the NBA than in my whole life. And it’s such comforting to see that these people who are so important to the city of San Antonio and to the franchise are such kind people, and generous. Because they genuinely wanted to share with me their experience,” Wembanyama said.
