After revealing his pending enrollment at USC, Bronny James finally embarked on the next chapter of his basketball career. In college, he’ll have the chance to prove his worth and showcase his skills on a whole new stage, and it’ll be interesting to see if he can live up to the hype.
While there are plenty who still doubt that Bronny will actually make the leap to the NBA, most scouts across the league view him as a clear NBA prospect.
“James wasn’t especially highly regarded early in his career, ranked as ESPN’s No. 49 recruit in his class entering his junior year at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California,” wrote ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. “Other recruiting outlets had him ranked even lower, as the consensus at the time was that James had work to do in establishing himself as a surefire high major college player. Fast forward 18 months and James has shown he is a top-20 player in his class and a potential NBA lottery pick in 2024… To many NBA scouts, Bronny has solidified himself as a clear NBA player down the road.”

As the son of NBA royalty, Bronny has been extensively watched since beginning his basketball journey. And while there are still debates on if Bronny is better than his brother, Bryce, there is no doubt that the kid is a star in the making and he will not take his college experience lightly.
Of course, we don’t yet know where Bronny will get drafted or when he’ll actually declare for the draft, but it’s no secret that he and his father are looking to link up and play together when the time is right.
LeBron James Will Follow His Son
LeBron is a Laker right now and his focus is solely on helping his squad reach the final stages of the NBA playoffs. But make no mistake about it, James will do whatever rit takes to join Bronny.
He recently doubled down on that mission but recognized that it ultimately falls on Bronny what he wants to do with his basketball career.
“My son is going to take his journey. And whatever his journey, however his journey lays out, he’s going to do what’s best for him,” said LeBron. “And as his dad, and his mom, Savannah, and his brother and sister, we’re going to support him in whatever he decides to do. So, just because that’s my aspiration or my goal, doesn’t mean it’s his. And I’m absolutely OK with that.”
