Damian Lillard’s future with the Portland Trail Blazers has been one of the much-talked-about topics ever since the team failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Now, ESPN’s Frank Isola linked the Blazers guard to five teams in the East. He listed the Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, and the Brooklyn Nets as the potential landing spots saying, “I think he’s gonna be on the move. I think he’s gonna end up in the eastern conference.”

Earlier, rumors of Lillard to the Nets did the rounds. “I can see the Nets going for Dame, but he’s older, and that contract is so high,” an NBA executive told HoopsHype. “He could be worth a couple of firsts and a good young player.”

Lillard was on a tear for the Blazers this season, averaging 32.2 points and making his case as one of the more efficient clutch players in the league.

The Nets are a promising bunch, and they will need a seasoned leader in their ranks to lead from the front. The 32-year-old does fit the bill, and Brooklyn has the necessary assets. Only time will tell if he indeed gets a new home in the East this summer.

Damian Lillard To The Chicago Bulls Cannot Be Ruled Out

It was that sort of a campaign for the Chicago Bulls where they were heavily reliant on their superstar trio of DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic — but failed to make the postseason despite the three’s best outings.

This had Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley urge the Bulls to pull the trigger on a blockbuster trade. “If the Bulls want any chance to contend next season, they have to up their star power and fix their point guard position. A megadeal for Damian Lillard would solve both problems.”

It does make sense considering the Bulls will be without Lonzo Ball for pretty much a majority of the 2023-24 season, and they will be monitoring the Lillard situation in Portland.

The prolific shooter has maintained his stance on winning a trophy with the Blazers, but the front office will have to give him the necessary weapons to even stake a claim for a championship. Nonetheless, he will be the big story in the offseason.
