It’s all happening for the Golden State Warriors. And it’s not good news. For starters, the Game 2 ‘tangle, grab, and stomp’ incident between Draymond Green and Domantas Sabonis continues to do the rounds.

The latest sees Green suspended for the upcoming game against the Kings, and amid all the furor surrounding the issue, the veteran forward had some flowers coming his way from a former Warrior and teammate, Marreese Speights.

“Draymond’s got good instincts,” Speights said on SiriusXM Radio ahead of Game 2. “He knows how to guard a bigger guy ’cause he’s been guarding bigger guys his whole life. When he was in middle school to high school he’s been guarding bigger guys.”

“He’s got a really good instinct of knowing the perfect time to block shots. He’s got really long arms, he’s a smart guy. So when it comes to guarding anybody, he can guard anybody whether it’s big, it’s a guard, he’s going to be able to guard anybody cause he has fast hands, he’s going to do all the little small things to get under your skin.”

It’s not been the greatest of starts for Green and Golden State. The former has been in the news throughout the season, starting with the infamous Jordan Poole punch-up. Add his subsequent beef with the fans and players alike, followed by his recent skirmish against Sabonis, it’s been a forgettable season already.

Green’s suspension comes as a massive blow to the Warriors as they are set to lose their defensive presence on the court, especially against a fast-paced Kings’ offense.

Draymond Green Gets Real On The Golden State Warriors Down 0-2

It’s unchartered waters that Draymond Green and the Warriors find themselves in after trailing the series 0-2. And the forward admitted to being on the back foot.

“A new challenge. After the game, I was thinking about that. This is one we haven’t seen yet. And we’ve conquered all the rest of them, so why not go conquer this one? It’ll be a lot of fun.”

But before he has any plays of conquering the series, or having some fun, Green will have to sit out of a must-win Game 3 for Golden State.

That said, the defending champions have been in tighter sports before, and now they have to regroup and do it again. The question is, can they?
