Rui Hachimura has one achievement over Anthony Davis when was a Washington Wizard — a dunk. And he doesn’t let the latter forget it.

To prove that he did get the better of Davis, he apparently does have a clip of it and shows it to Austin Reaves often. Davis revealed as much via SportsCenter.

Rui Hachimura has a clip saved on his phone of when he dunked on AD. AD said Rui shows Reaves “all the time.”

Hachimura was one of the acquisitions before the trade deadline. The Lakers Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks to the Wizards, and the forward was one of the more instrumental additions to the squad.

Hachimura was one of the vital cogs in the Lakers’ blowout 128-112 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of the playoffs. Coming off the bench, Hachimura poured 29 points, coupled with 6 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Guess the dunk just adds to his bragging rights. But should he continue to dish out stellar performances like in the first game, he will have more to show off.

Desmond Bane Throws Down The Gauntlet To Rui Hachimura After His Game 1 Heroics

Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane was not impressed with Hachimura’s efforts, and when asked about it, threw down the gauntlet.

“That was our game plan going in – make him take shots,” Bane said. “He did. It’s probably the best game of his career. It’s a seven-game series. Let’s see if he can do it again Wednesday.”

His performance also got some praise coming from LeBron James. “I think that’s just part of my leadership, being able to find what sparks every individual to try to reach their potential,” the veteran said after the Lakers win. “It’s the same with Rui, I see the type of player he is, but he can become.”

Only time will tell if Hachimura can continue to play key roles off the bench. The Lakers have started off on a solid note and will look to continue their winning run.
