Point guard Trae Young is definitely one of the best players in the NBA, and many believe that his offensive production rivals the top superstars in the league. However, he has only made one deep playoff run during his time with the Atlanta Hawks, and his time with the franchise could be coming to an end.

A previous report revealed that the Atlanta Hawks front office has the green light to trade Trae Young. Trae Young responded to those reports after the team’s latest shootaround, claiming that you can’t worry about that when trying to perform on the court.

“It could be false, could be true, you never know,” Young said via Joe Vardon of The Athletic. “It’s hard – you can’t look at it,” Young said, via Vardon. “Especially as the player at the moment, you can’t look at what’s gonna come next year. After the game, if the game doesn’t go your way tonight, what’s gonna happen? Like, you can’t focus on things like that. That messes up your head and then you’re not ready to play. So, me, I’m not worried about that. I’m gonna let my game play. After the season, whatever happens, happens. I mean, I’m focused on the next task at hand. I can’t worry about the outside noise or whatever fake stories come out, or what’s true, whatever.”

It is obvious that Trae Young isn’t worried about outside noise, even if it is about his future. His goal is clearly to get the Atlanta Hawks to the playoffs, and he can do that by beating the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament.

This year, Trae Young has averaged 26.2 PPG, 3.0 RPG, and 10.2 APG for the Atlanta Hawks. There is no question that he is an offensive Wizards, and hopefully, he gets the Atlanta Hawks to the playoffs this year.

John Collins Believes Trae Young Is A Better Isolation Scorer And Playmaker Than Stephen Curry

There is no doubt that Trae Young is a special player, and he has often been compared to legend Stephen Curry. In fact, John Collins recently claimed that Young is a better isolation scorer and playmaker than Curry.

“A small, light-skinned guard that can shoot the deep 3s. The NBA loves to compare,” said Collins. “Now, Trae has definitely pushed himself into his own category. I can definitely say for sure that he’s a way better playmaker than Steph and he’s a better isolation scorer, right? But obviously, there’s different things that he does better and Steph does better. I just feel like, at this point in the league, they do have similarities in the oohs and the ahhs when they hit a crazy 3, cross somebody up. I can say that they are similar (that way).”

It remains to be seen if Trae Young ever reaches a level close to Stephen Curry, and he definitely has a lot more to accomplish in his career before being regarded in the same light. We will see how his career goes, and perhaps we’ll even see Trae Young win a championship in the future.
