Last month Bradley Beal made headlines for a police investigation being launched against him after a heated argument with an Orlando Magic fan.

The fan filed a report for battery against Beal. It was the after-result of Bradley Beal clapping back at the fan, who blamed him for losing money while gambling. Now, the Washington Wizards superstar has further cleared the air about his altercation with the fan.

“Nobody wants to lose money. I get it. If you keep it about sports, I’m all for it,” Beal said, according to ESPN. “But I think it’s when people start getting personal, talking about your family, talking about your character, your integrity towards the game. I think all of that, we can save it. We can really keep those comments to ourselves.”

Beal then stated that he has noticed something unusual in the world of sports gambling over the last few years.

“I understand. I go to casinos, I gamble, I understand that. But I also understand it’s probably a 99% chance I’m going to lose,” he said. “I’m not sitting here about to get angry at the dealer or angry at everybody else.”

It is obvious that any fan who bets on a player wants him to have a phenomenal game. But sometimes, fans let anger get the better of them.

Many players may avoid the fans’ angry comments directed toward them, but Bradley Beal certainly doesn’t fall in that category. He obviously claps back at fans rather than quietly ignoring them.

Bradley Beal Weighs In On His Future With The Washington Wizards

Bradley Beal is one of the best players in his position in the league. He has emerged as a top threat from the offensive end of the court.

Despite Beal putting up monster numbers over the last few years, it has become quite apparent that he may never win an NBA title until he leaves the Washington Wizards.

Evidently, the media is always curious about his future with the Wizards around the offseason. The 29-year-old recently addressed it in a press conference.

No, I don’t use [my no-trade clause] as like a trump card,” he said. “It’s not me, that’s beneath me. I’m definitely frustrated. I’m also at peace with where I am and who we are, and what we need to do to be better. It’s nothing I can do… We know where we failed and how we have to be better. It’s never one time where I’m like, ‘You know what, I’m out of here,’ you know? But I very well could, like you said, because I do have a no-trade. But I don’t use it as a trump.”

It must be tough for Beal to be in a situation where it’s most likely he will never win an NBA title. Even though he is frustrated, he doesn’t want to use the no-trade clause in his contract to force a move away from the Wizards.

Beal averaged 23.2 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and 5.4 APG in the 2022-23 NBA season, where he played just 50 games.
