Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal is under police investigation following his postgame altercations with fans after their contest against the Orlando Magic last week.
Per TMZ Sports, a complaint was filed against Beal after their game against the Magic on March 21. The beef occurred when one of the fans reportedly called him out.
“You f***** me [out of] $1,300, you f***!”, to which Beal allegedly responded, “Keep it a buck. I don’t give a f*** about none of your bets or your parlays, bro. That ain’t why I play the game.”
The outlet added that Beal is currently being investigated for battery, and the Magic has responded, saying that they had let the cops take care of the matter.
The game ended with the Wizards going down 122-112 to the Magic. Beal had 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. Kristaps Porzingis top-scored with 30 points, but it wasn’t enough to drag Washington over the finish line.
Bradley Beal Could Exit The Washington Wizards In The Summer
While Bradley Beal was one of the big names the Washington Wizards kept off limits ahead of the trade deadline, the team’s average run this season might see the guard force his way out of the side.
Earlier, Beal spoke about his thinning patience to Marc J. Spears of Andscape, I’m patient, but there comes a time where you have to be a little selfish and draw a line in the sand, for sure,” he said.
“So, I have thoughts in my head but at the same time, I stay in the moment. I stay engaged with what we have and what we do and don’t get caught up in the noise and just go from there, take it a day at a time, control what I can control.”
The veteran will have no shortage of suitors, and he’s already on the radar of some of the big names, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers. Chances are that Kyle Kuzma might leave in the offseason if Beal decides to opt out.
The Wizards are currently placed 11th in the East with a 33-42 run and are out of the playoffs race at the moment. Their oddly-constructed roster has a marginal chance of making the postseason and only time will tell if Beal decides to stick around for one more season and see if he can take the team through.
For now, he’s got some off-court troubles to deal with.
