While Anderson denies this, he clearly was quite upset at Gobert, as a team employee leaked an audio clip of his reaction to the incident. The Timberwolves sent Gobert home after the incident , and the biggest question now is whether they will suspend him for the play-in game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Frenchman issued an apology sometime later, stating that emotions got the better of him at that moment.

Anderson reportedly told Gobert to block some shots, and the Frenchman responded by telling Anderson to grab some rebounds. An annoyed Anderson replied, “Shut the f*** up b*tch.” and that led to Gobert punching him.
This situation was followed by Jaden McDaniels fracturing his hand after punching a wall, and the Timberwolves seemed dead and buried at halftime. Instead of crumbling, however, they responded in great fashion and went on to win the game 113-108.
Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns stepped up, with Edwards scoring 20 points in the second half while Towns had 17. The Timberwolves will need these two to keep it up if they are to beat the Lakers on Tuesday to get back into the playoffs.
