It was time to celebrate in Sacramento after the Kings finally made the playoffs for the first time in 16 years.

Fans gathered at the airport to welcome the team after their win over the Portland Trail Blazers, but one of them got a bit too drunk to celebrate the occasion, as per De’Aaron Fox.

“An In-N-Out bag was thrown at my car,” Fox said, revealing that it got inside. “I think it was full. I don’t know. They say she was drunk, so I don’t know, I have no idea.”

It definitely wasn’t a pleasant experience, but Fox wasn’t too bothered about it. The fan just got caught up in the moment and did something stupid, which she was probably incredibly embarrassed about the next day.

It was great though, that so many of them turned up at the airport to welcome the team and show their appreciation to them. This is a fanbase that has suffered for so long, and this set of players has brought them some joy that they haven’t experienced for over a decade. Their playoff-clinching win over the Blazers was yet another typical offensive explosion by the best offense in the league, as they smashed them 138-114.

It Has Been A Very Special Season For The Kings

Almost no one predicted that the Kings would make the playoffs this season and a whole lot of analysts did not believe in them before this campaign. A lot of credit for their success goes to new head coach Mike Brown, who looks set to win Coach of the Year. Fox has had a spectacular season, too, averaging 25.1 PPG, 6.1 APG, 4.2 RPG, and 1.2 SPG, while his co-star Domantas Sabonis leads the league at 12.4 RPG while also putting up 19.1 PPG and 7.2 APG.

The trio is a big reason why the Kings have by far the best offensive rating in the league, and they’ll be hoping to make some noise in their first postseason as a group. Their lack of experience and suspect defense are causes for concern, but this team has made a habit this season of proving their doubters wrong. Draymond Green revealed he wants to face the Kings in the first round, as the travel is much easier, but he probably should be a bit careful of what he wishes for.
