Superstar Ja Morant has drawn a lot of negative attention to himself recently due to his brandishing a gun on his Instagram Live. There’s no doubt that the point guard has received a lot of criticism for his actions.

Though the point guard will be suspended for 8 games by the league, Ja Morant will be back before the Memphis Grizzlies end the regular season, which means that he can play with the team in the playoffs. Recently, Ja Morant revealed that he’s ready to push for a championship when he comes back on the court.

“When I get back out there, I’m going to be ready to go. Ready to push for a ring,” Morant said. (17:15)

There is no doubt that Ja Morant is still confident in the Memphis Grizzlies’ chances this season. They definitely have the talent to get out of the Western Conference, and hopefully, that will happen this season. There are a number of contenders in the West that they’ll have to go through though, such as the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Ja Morant has put up 27.1 PPG, 6.0 RPG, and 8.2 APG for the Grizzlies this season, and it is clear that he was making his ascension to being a superstar-level player. There is no doubt that the Memphis Grizzlies need him to make a deep run in the playoffs this season, and we’ll see if he can lead them to a series win or two in the postseason.

Ja Morant Understands That He Has A Lot To Lose

Recently, we saw Ja Morant explain the lessons that he has learned during his time away from basketball while dealing with the gun situation. He stated that he now understands what he has “to lose,” obviously referring to all the benefits he has by being an NBA superstar.

“I feel like in the past, we didn’t know what’s at stake,” said Morant. “Now, you know finally me have that time to realize everything, have that time along, I realize that now. I realize what I have to lose.”

There is no question that there is a lot on the line for Ja Morant: his NBA contract and his endorsements will obviously be at risk if he continues to make poor decisions off the court. However, it is clear that Ja Morant understands the gravity of the situation, and it looks as though he’ll avoid those sorts of actions in the future.
