Stephen Curry is one of the best shotmakers the NBA has ever seen and comfortably holds the crown as the best shooter in league history,

One of his career-defining highlights came when he made a half-court three against the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2016, something he recreated on the training court recently.

The three that Steph hit in 2016 ultimately became the shot that ensured the Warriors would break the regular season wins record by reaching a record of 73-9 in the season. Sadly, he wouldn’t lift the NBA title that season after blowing a 3-1 lead in the Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers

Regardless of how the season turned out, this shot is one of the greatest regular season highlights in league history. It will be remembered as one of the most defining moments of the current generation’s 3-point heavy style of playing.

Stephen Curry Hoping To Recapture This Magic

Curry returned from a month-long injury layoff in a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers amidst an extremely worrying season for Golden State. Despite being defending champs, the Warriors are stuck in the middle of the West and trying to secure a guaranteed playoff spot.

For the Warriors to climb up the table at this point, Curry has to go nuclear throughout the end of the season. His scoring ability puts games out of question for most opponents, as we saw last year in the playoffs. If he can find that scoring gear again, maybe the Warriors’ average defense can get hidden as a result. With the form that Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson have been on, outscoring opponents is something this team can likely do.

Curry has averaged 29.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 6.2 rebounds in 39 games this season.
