The NBA All-Star break fever is now over, and it means that fans will soon see their favorite superstars play for their regular teams. The Los Angeles Lakers are one team that will have the entire media’s focus after the NBA All-Star break.

They are expected to make one final push during the last 23 games of the season to hopefully book a spot in the playoffs. In order to do that, the Lakers made several moves at the NBA Trade Deadline, and it helped bolster the roster around the dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Speaking of which, LeBron James recently made a huge claim about the new-look Lakers roster. A claim, if it backfires, will put James under a lot of heat from fans and the media.

LeBron: "I've always been confident on any club I've been on, that if we can make it to the playoffs, we can compete with anyone." Says that applies to this current Lakers roster, that if things fall right, they can compete with anyone in the league.

“I’ve always been confident on any club I’ve been on, that if we can make it to the playoffs, we can compete with anyone.”

It is great to see the leader of the team show immense confidence in the roster. This will undoubtedly help in boosting the morale of the entire roster ahead of the final stretch of the 2022-23 NBA season.

Can LeBron James Stay Healthy For The Remainder Of The Season?

LeBron James understands how important the final 23 games of the 2022-23 NBA season are for him and the Los Angeles Lakers. But at the same time, James gave fans an injury scare during the 2023 NBA All-Star game.

James later explained that he was fine after the scare and wouldn’t miss any games for the Lakers. That’s certainly good news for the Laker Nation.

Even though James is 38 years old, he is still the best player on the roster. Without him at his 100%, the chances of the team qualifying for the playoffs will become astronomically low.

The Lakers are currently 27-32 and hold the 13th seed in the Western Conference. They will target to finish the season as the 10th or better seed.
