The Los Angeles Clippers put in easily their worst performance of the year against the Denver Nuggets this Thursday night. The Clippers were outmatched from the start of the game, scoring just 15 points in the first quarter and following it up with a lowly 17 in the second to fall to a 30-point deficit.

Ultimately, the Clippers lost 91-122 in a bad loss in which Paul George and Kawhi Leonard played well below 20 minutes and shot 3-16 combined. The Nuggets’ leading scorer was Jamal Murray with 18 points as a team effort sunk LA, causing fans to either mock them or express concern.

Clippers Propaganda is truly elite when you consider what they’ve done or haven’t done depending on how you look at it.

"With no Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to start this second half, does that mean both are gonna play tomorrow? Right now, Kawhi is at 18 minutes and PG is at 14 minutes."

The altitude has nothing to do with why the Nuggets kicked the Clippers ass tonight. They’ve been spanking everything team that step foot in that arena and that’s because they are the BEST TEAM in the Western Conference. Carry the hell on…

The Clippers had the easiest schedule in basketball by a significant margin to start the season, and it masked several flaws that have been severely exposed since they started playing good teams.

— Joey Linn (@joeylinn_) January 6, 2023

The Clippers showed no fight in this loss, getting outclassed from the opening tip. PG and Kawhi were struggling and nobody was picking up the slack, causing their offense to grind to a halt.

Can This Version Of The Clippers Compete For A Title?

The Clippers built their current roster to be championship contenders and nothing else. However, they are struggling to keep up the fight in a crowded Western Conference this season. Kawhi and PG have been inconsistent due to injuries and load management, but today they failed to be effective even when they played.

Their 21-19 record isn’t reflective of the talent that they have. While their record is bound to improve, it looks like it might be a tough journey up the ladder. The Denver Nuggets are undoubtedly the best team in the West right now and absolutely handled the Clippers, a team that lost their best chance to compete at the hands of the Nuggets in 2020.
