NBA fans keep messing around with the All-Star voting process, making big and crazy decisions, as it happens every year. The league has tried to make some changes to avoid this, but they always find a way to troll them and worry the rest of the fans about the outcome of the voting.

Austin Reaves has become one of the best things the Los Angeles Lakers have for showing this 2022-23 NBA season. The young point guard already showed flashes of his quality last season and has taken things to the next level this one.

He’s even been so bold that he’s trolled LeBron James and Anthony Davis while showing a solid level on the court. This young man is going places, but he’s nowhere near an All-Star level, although some fans see him that way.

NBA Fans Massively Vote For Austin Reaves To Become An All-Star

The NBA just revealed the first 2022-23 All-Star Game fan voting returns and while some results like LeBron James and Kevin Durant leading their respective conferences didn’t surprise many people, other names on the list surely did.

Many fans reacted to Andrew Wiggins being almost at the same level as Zion Williamson, or Kyrie Irving leading the guards in the East, but there was another spot that turned a lot of heads and raised some eyebrows. Austin Reaves ranks 9th among guards in the Western Conference after getting 144,520 votes.

To make things worse, he’s ranking higher than Jordan Poole, one of the best young players in the league at this moment. We’ve seen these types of situations in the past, and fortunately for the league, Reaves isn’t one of the top favorites to make it to the upcoming All-Star Game.

In 36 games this season, the sophomore point guard averages 10.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists for the struggling Los Angeles Lakers. As you can see, he’s not playing at an All-Star level and fans just want to troll.
