Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors had an amazing 2021-22 NBA season. It was a special championship run overall, especially for Thompson. After the 2019 NBA Finals, Klay missed two back-to-back seasons due to injuries.
So when he finally made a comeback last season, it was a joyous moment for the Dub Nation. Evidently, winning the 2022 NBA Championship made it even better. But since Klay was playing after so long, he was obviously a bit rustic and wasn’t at the same level that he once was.
A direct impact of Klay’s dip in performance was seen in his 3PT shooting rating in NBA 2K23. On that note, Klay recently won a friendly 3PT shooting contest with Stephen Curry and hilariously wanted Ronnie 2K to change his rating post that.

One would think Ronnie wouldn’t make much of Klay’s comments and let it pass a hilarious banter. But Ronnie apparently took offense to Klay’s words.

Draymond Green is known for his savage replies and outspoken personality, and upon seeing Ronnie’s tweet, Green decided to call out the public face of the video game franchise.

After that, Green and Ronnie indulged in a back-and-forth feud on Twitter. As of now, it ended with Green issuing a major warning to Ronnie.

At the end of the day, the NBA 2K games are indeed dependent on the players. If the players deny their rights to be featured in the games, it could have an adverse effect on their sales.
On the other hand, NBA 2K games also play a crucial role in increasing the popularity of many players. All things considered, both are somewhat dependent on each other, and we hope they can sort things out sooner rather than later.
