Devin Booker is definitely considered among the best shooting guards in the league, and some definitely view him as the best. Booker is a smooth shot creator and electric score who can heat up at a moment’s notice. Currently, Devin Booker is averaging 26.3 PPG, 5.1 RPG, and 5.0 APG.

There has been a lot of people who have endorsed Devin Booker as this season’s MVP. One of them was Pistons legend, Isiah Thomas who claimed that Devin Booker hit the criteria of the MVP award by being the leading scorer on the best team in the league.

Recently, Devin Booker got another endorsement for him being the 2021-22 MVP. Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has declared his support for Devin Booker via Twitter today.

There are also other current players who think that Devin Booker should be MVP, like Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard. While there are definitely other deserving candidates for the award such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid, it is clear that Devin Booker at least deserves to be in the conversation.

It remains to be seen if the late-season push on social media for Devin Booker to become the MVP has any effect. He isn’t necessarily the favorite for the award currently, but perhaps we’ll see some voters change their minds by the end of the season.

As of now though, Devin Booker’s focus will be on finishing the regular season strong and eventually making a deep run to the playoffs. Devin Booker led the Phoenix Suns to the NBA Finals in 2021, but they were unable to beat Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Perhaps we’ll see them get back to that stage this year, and this time, maybe the Phoenix Suns will end up finishing the job and getting themselves a championship.
