Jayson Tatum is one of the best young forwards in the league. He is most well-known for his scoring and shot creation, but his defense is also very sound, as he is capable of guarding 4 positions. Currently, Jayson Tatum is averaging 26.8 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 4.8 APG.

There is no doubt that Jayson Tatum has an extremely bright future. He has already gotten to the Eastern Conference Finals in his young career. Celtics legend Paul Pierce has recently claimed that Jayson Tatum has a chance to retire as the greatest Celtics of all time.

Jayson Tatum is averaging 26/8/4 this season.

That kid is special, man… You look at the numbers, but if you actually watch his game, he’s as smooth as it comes when scoring the ball…This guy is special. I really believe he’s going to win a championship in Boston and end up one of the greatest if not the greatest Celtic to ever play this game. He has that type of potential… He’s got everything.

Those are certainly some very high expectations from Paul Pierce, especially considering the fact that the Boston Celtics have a lot of all-time greats that have played for the franchise such as Larry Bird and Bill Russell. However, Jayson Tatum will definitely have a productive career in the league, and he has a chance to be a Celtics legend by the time he retires.

Hopefully, we see Jayson Tatum continue improving, and there’s no doubt that he is already an elite scorer who can win a game by himself. While some have previously stated that he doesn’t care about winning, he is showing that he can lead a competitive team. The Boston Celtics are currently the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 43-28 record under his leadership. Perhaps we’ll see Jayson Tatum and the Celtics make some noise in the playoffs, and there is even a chance they could make the Finals.
