It looks like everybody is making lists those days while the NBA is suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak. Even though Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell are cleared from the COVID-19, there is no clear time to see the league making its return, so players have tried to find ways not to get bored while quarantined.
Seeing players naming the toughest opponents they’ve had in the league has gotten more and more recurrent in recent days. Giannis Antetokounmpo named James Harden in recent hours, and now Alex Caruso did something similar, picking three players instead of one.
During an interview with Evan Daniels of CBS Sports, Caruso picked his teammate LeBron James, along with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets.
“KD is one of them. His ability to shoot over you is unstoppable at times. That makes his mismatch so crazy,” the Laker. “I’d say LeBron. Obviously I’d throw him in there. I think Kyrie is up there. Just cuz he can score on so many levels and his finishing is so good even if like you stay in front of him he’s still has a chance to make it.”
These guys are really difficult to guard for anybody. KD is one of the greatest scorers in history and he always finds a way to make his shot, while Kyrie’s handles make him a nightmare for whoever is trying to stop him.
Bron, meanwhile, has a lot of skills to get past his defenders, and even when he’s not bulldozing them, he has the ability to set his teammates up for the score.
Caruso knows James closely since they play together, but he’s well aware of the things KD and Kyrie bring to the table.
