An ‘Influential Member’ Of The Heat Has Prevented The Team From Trading Bam Adebayo

The Miami Heat have been one of the teams mentioned in many moves around the league. After reaching the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals, the Floridians are ready to improve their roster or run it back with the pieces they had last season. However, seeing the type of talent that could be moved this summer, Miami might have a big chance to land another All-Star.

It could be Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, or Donovan Mitchell, but Miami is reportedly ready to make a move that will take their game to the next level. However, in order to do this, they may have to ship one of their stars, and the biggest name that they can think of is Bam Adebayo.

The center is one of the most promising young players in the league and somebody that could unlock negotiations with almost every team around the association. Yet, the Heat have made it clear that Bam isn’t available in trade talks.

A new report suggests that this is only because somebody with huge power within the organization has prevented the front office from moving Bam somewhere else.

“A party familiar with the Heat’s approach told the Sun Sentinel that while there has been internal consideration of the team utilizing center Bam Adebayo as a trade component, at least one influential member of the organization has shot down the notion,” wrote Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.

Adebayo has been mentioned in trades for Kevin Durant, more than anything, but he could be the key to landing another player, too. He’s young, very talented, and a type of player you can’t find in the league anymore. Landing him would be huge for any team in the league, and the Heat know that.

We recently learned that he’s considered ‘untouchable’ besides Jimmy Butler, but perhaps that consideration is because of this mysterious person that wants him to stay in South Beach for the long run.
