Andre Drummond was one of the premier rebounding bigs in the NBA but has seen his role in the league diminish heavily in recent years, switching teams every season.
The former All-Star has sent out a concerning tweet where he revealed he’s giving up control of his social media to his management and changing his phone number to improve his mental health.
Deleting all my social apps my Managment will take over , also changing my number ..
Time to focus on my mental health . If you too are struggling with your mental health, you are not alone 💙 it’s okay to ask for help

Drummond is averaging 6.1 points and 6.7 rebounds this season with the Chicago Bulls. Though the Bulls have had a disappointing season that starting center Nikola Vucevic thought couldn’t be saved, the team has been competing recently. They beat the Lakers with LeBron James before losing to the Clippers on a back-to-back. They face the Lakers at home tomorrow night.
Concern For Andre Drummond And The Bulls
Seeing players struggle with these issues is disconcerting for their fans as well, who naturally worry about the well-being of the player. Everyone will be rooting for Drummond to work through whatever is bothering him. He is a rotational player for the Bulls and has been staying available to the team through this time, having a strong 15 points and 8 rebounds performance in their loss to the Clippers.
The Bulls were hoping to be a playoff team heading into the season. It just hasn’t clicked for the squad on the court, with the team offense looking clunky without a true point guard to orchestrate the play. Lonzo Ball failed to return from injury this season and has been ruled out for next season as well, with retirement concerns looming over the PG’s health.
They’re likely going to forfeit their first-round pick to the Orlando Magic this season and need to re-sign centers like Drummond and Vucevic in the summer. If they can make the playoffs this year, it’ll be a positive moment in a pretty bad year for the Bulls.
