Blake Griffin Says NBA Fans Will Not Allow Anyone To Be Better Than Michael Jordan: “I Don’t Think We’ll Allow Anybody To Be Michael Jordan… Unless You Just Come In And You Have A Perfect Career.”

Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin has explained why there will never be another player like Michael Jordan. MJ marked an age, he was the most famous and best athletes in the world at some point in his career, something that nobody has matched so far. Griffin, who is part of the Jordan Brand, went on IG live with GQ recently and explained why there is and there will only by a Michael Jordan.

“I don’t think we’ll allow anybody to be Michael Jordan,” Blake Griffin said, via Ashish Mathur of Clutch Points.

“Unless you just come in and you have a perfect career. Like Michael Jordan didn’t have a perfect career obviously. Like he struggled early on and then ran off three, came back and ran off three more and got out. But like, I don’t know, I don’t think we will allow ourselves to.”

The things Jordan did during his career were incredibly great. Nowadays people still wonder how many more titles he would have won if he didn’t retire in 1993 and 1998. He won six titles in the 90s, shared in two three-peats, dominating the league every season. He finished his career averaging 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards in 1,072 games.

Jordan is not only the greatest basketball player of all time but arguably one of the 5 best athletes ever. Nobody has been able to match that and as things stand now, it looks like nobody could do it. Griffin’s explanation makes a lot of sense, to be honest; NBA fans see Jordan as someone unreachable and in some form, he is. No wonder he’s considered the GOAT by so many basketball fans around the world.
