Bob Dandridge Believes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Is The Greatest Player Of All Time: “There Was No Defense Against Kareem.”

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is widely considered the best center of all time. It is hard to argue with Abdul-Jabbar’s accomplishments: he was a 6-time MVP and a 6-time champion who has had some insane scoring seasons. Abdul-Jabbar was amazing in the post, and his go-to weapon was his skyhook, which was viewed by many as unguardable.

Former All-Star and Hall of Famer Bob Dandridge has recently spoken to Sirius XM NBA Radio and revealed that he believes that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the greatest player of all time. Dandridge was notably part of the 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks championship, so he has experienced Abdul-Jabbar’s greatness first hand. Dandridge explained his reasoning by stating that there was “no defense” for Abdul-Jabbar, while also noting that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has won at every level of basketball.

I definitely feel that he’s the greatest player of all time. Clyde is right with that weapon, there was no defense against Kareem and that weapon.

And then he had a lot of information about the game. Kareem played with good players throughout his career, going back to Power Memorial and on the playground of New York City.

It didn’t take Kareem maybe 5 or 6 years to win a championship. Kareem has been a champion at every level, and a distinctive champion, cause I think at UCLA they may have won at least 2 maybe 3 national championships. And then in his second year in Milwaukee, he was able to win another championship, and then he won another couple championships with the Lakers.

While a lot of players from past generations fade from people’s memories as time goes on, there is no forgetting about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s greatness. He certainly has a great case for being the GOAT. Aside from the factors that Dandridge mentions, there is also Abdul-Jabbar’s insane longevity, and he is currently the only player in history who has had 19 All-Star selections.

A lot of people talk about LeBron James, Michael Jordan, or Kobe Bryant as having GOAT cases, but Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is right up there with them. The legendary center was one of the best players to have ever touched a basketball and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is a sure presence in most people’s “top 5 players of all time” lists.
