One year after playing his last NBA game, Caleb Swanigan made the headlines and not precisely for on-court matters. His shocking body transformation surprised everybody who watched him play, forcing the former Portland Trail Blazers star to break the silence.

NBA fans couldn’t believe that Swanigan is reportedly weighing over 400 LBS, making him viral in recent days. Even Damian Lillard had to defend him against critics and people who tried to bring him down.

Moreover, Swanigan took to social media to fire back at those making fun and criticism him for his current shape. He sent a simple message to the media and those who want to put him down.

“When the media in ur life, ignore them.”

“I’m a full time father figure with trust funds for off springs.”

“When u right, they hate u, I promise. All imma say is Dave Chapelle I’m happy.”

It’s been over 400 days since he last played in the NBA, recording 7 minutes in a game between the Blazers and the Phoenix Suns.

Selected as the 26th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Swanigan averaged 3.0 points and 4.7 rebounds with Portland.

Nobody knows what is going on with him right now. Instead of criticizing and trolling him, people should try to understand that everybody has struggles, and we need to be kind to one another.

Still, a lot of folks don’t understand that. Hopefully, Caleb is ok and happy.
