Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan have one of the most long-running feuds in the NBA. After The Last Dance documentary aired in 2020, it earned a new lease on life, with Jordan saying he hates Thomas and calling him an a**hole. Since then, Zeke has requested a public apology from MJ, but Charles Oakley’s warning to him from a while back has resurfaced.

“Michael does not want to be your friend, Isiah,” Oakley said. “For the fifth time, he does not want to be your friend! Stay on ESPN, and keep talking on TNT. Now you’re trying to say everybody’s better than Mike. It’s OK! You are not better than Mike.”

Isiah Thomas recently revealed that people from Michael Jordan‘s circle had told him he didn’t mean his comments from the documentary. Thomas has repeatedly said that since the disrespect was public, he would want any apology to be public as well. But since none has been forthcoming, it’s safe to say that Oakley was right about MJ not caring very much about any of this.

In any case, Michael Jordan has a lot on his plate at the moment. There have been reports that he is looking to sell the Charlotte Hornets. The team hasn’t been doing too well and the GOAT could pocket $1.77 billion if he sells now. Even if he did have something to say to or about Isiah, likely, it won’t come out anytime soon.

Isiah Thomas Wants Michael Jordan To Apologize On National Television

Not only is Isiah Thomas hoping for a public apology, but he also wants it to occur on national television. Zeke went on the All The Smoke podcast himself and spoke about the topic. He did acknowledge though, that Jordan can let it stay as is if he meant what he said.

“You got on national television and you called me an a****e, and then you said you hated me,” he said. “You said that on national television. Now, if you didn’t mean it, get on national television and apologize for it. Now, if you meant it, let it ride as it is.”

In a situation like this, Michael Jordan’s silence would speak volumes. If he doesn’t go on to talk about any of these things, then it will be clear how he feels about them. Ultimately, Charles Oakley might have said it best, even if Michael Jordan didn’t mean to be harsh, it doesn’t appear that he wants to be friends with Isiah Thomas.
