Damian Lillard Reveals His Favorite Players In The NBA: “I’m Going To See Kyrie Irving And I’m Going To See Devin Booker”

Damian Lillard has taken some much-needed time away from the court this season after going through abdominal surgery in late-2021 that ruled him out for the season. In the meantime, Lillard has been able to kick back and watch the players around the league do what they do best.

Lillard made an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast ‘Club Shay Shay’ recently and spoke to the NFL Hall of Famer for an hour. In that time, Sharpe asked Dame about the two players in the NBA he prefers watching the most in the league and would he actually pay the money to sit courtside and see them play. Lillard showered praise on Kyrie Irving and Devin Booker.

“I’m going to see Kyrie Irving play. I  adore Kyrie’s style of play. I’m really enamored with the way his game seems. It’s his handles, but it’s also his movement and ability to play the game. He got the most beautiful game ever, just as it appears… I’m going to see Kyrie Irving. I’ll also be seeing Devin Booker.”

Irving is one of the players everyone is really attracted to in terms of watching his play style. He is a genuinely unique player and Lillard seems to respect the efforts of his fellow point guard. Booker on the other hand is someone who has recently been touted as an MVP candidate by none other than Dame himself.

Booker is one of the best natural scorers in the league right now and is spearheading the charge at Phoenix as they have already clinched the best record in the NBA this season. Irving’s Brooklyn Nets currently sit as the 10th seed, but have confirmed a play-in spot for themselves, and will try to fight into the #6 seed.

Hopefully, Lillard gets a chance to come courtside during the playoffs and watch these players hoop as a fan. They are going to become rivals the second Lillard gets back on the court again.
