D’Angelo Russell Names His All-Time Starting 5: Steph, Kobe, MJ, LeBron And Shaq/KD With A Tie For The Last Spot

2 Min Read

Minnesota Timberwolves star D’Angelo Russell named his all-time starting lineup, putting some interesting names there. Every NBA star has been doing this since the league entered a hiatus after Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19 last month.

Now D’Lo has given his two pennies on this matter, mixing his starting five with active players and some big legends. Talking with Chris Montano on Instagram Live, Russell hesitated with the last spot, but the rest was easy for him.

He went with his former teammate Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, LeBron James before he said it was a tie between Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Durant at the 5. He had to change a couple of things there to make room for everybody, but it is a good starting five; anybody would have trouble trying to beat this squad.

D’Lo played with Curry for the first part of the 2019/20 season before he got traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had the chance to see Curry work his magic very closely, even though the 2x MVP went down with an injury at the beginning of the season.

He’s still facing LeBron James and Kevin Durant (who is currently sidelined), so he knows the things these dudes can do. The other players are three of the biggest legends in the NBA. Jordan is widely considered the biggest player of all time, while Kobe is also part of that conversation for some fans. Shaq, on the other hand, must be at least a top 3 center of all time.

No wonder why Russell has doubts about the last spot. He made sure to place the best of the best in his all-time starting lineup.
