It seems like criticizing Russell Westbrook has been the common rule among NBA fans for a couple of years now.
The veteran point guard has been the subject of a lot of criticism, but for De’Aaron Fox, Westbrook is one of the best competitors he’s faced in his NBA career.
“I love playing against him,” Fox said of Westbrook. “I feel like he brings out the best in me… I’m glad he played well but I’m glad we got the win… But you’ll never hear a bad thing about Russell Westbrook from anybody that’s played with him or played against him.”

It’s good to see that players still have Westbrook’s back. The former NBA MVP has gone through a lot the past two seasons or so, as he’s struggled to adapt to a new role, and teams can’t find one that really fits him.
Now that he’s with the Los Angeles Clippers, Westbrook is showing flashes of his best version. In five games, he’s averaging 16.6 points, 8.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds for the Clippers, but things haven’t gone in their favor.
Russell Westbrooks Is Still Win-less Since Signing With Clippers
Westbrook and the Clippers are win-less since they joined forces, with the Clips losing their last five games. Russ hasn’t won a game as a starter in his past 15 duels, which doesn’t look that promising for this team.
The Clippers need to figure things out if they want to aspire to win a championship, but right now, that job looks very complicated to carry out. Westbrook is, once again, taking all the bad comments, which are unfair sometimes.
Still, the Clippers went from the 4th to the 8th seed in the West in the last five games, and that shows that this team is struggling to get things going. The Western Conference is stacked after the trade deadline, and the Clips need to start winning games if they still want to get that NBA championship.
